For some folks cole slaw with pulled pork is the only way to eat.  

What I like most is this particular coleslaw recipe is very simple to prepare and uses the following ingredients: cabbage, celery seed, chervil leaves, mayonnaise or salad dressing, sour cream, and seasoned salt.  

This recipe directs you to cut and shredded a head of cabbage, however, if you desire to do so you can buy a bag of pre-cut cabbage from your local grocery store.  This will allow you to pull together this side dish a whole lot quicker.

Herbed Coleslaw Recipe

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 4 cups shredded cabbage, shredded
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup dairy sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon chervil leaves
  • paprika

Recipe Instructions:

  1. Place shredded cabbage and chopped onion into a mixing bowl and lightly toss. Form the herbed sauce by mixing together the remaining ingredients in another bowl. Pour the herbed sauce over the cabbage and onion and toss well.
  2. The cole slaw should be served cold therefore, transfer your finished slaw to a serving bowl and refrigerate for about an hour. Just before serving sprinkle top of coleslaw with paprika.
