Energizer Bunny Coffee Smoothie Recipe

This pick-me-up anytime coffee smoothie will leave you energized and ready to tackle the world.  If you need to get going first thing in the morning then try out this recipe NOW.  I am happy to report I finally convinced my wife to deviated from her morning coffee routine. 

So now from time to time the wife will forgo her morning cup of coffee for the delicious smoothie recipe you see here.  Although I rarely drink coffee, I have tried this recipe a few time with my wife and must say I received too much of a energy jolt from this smoothie drink.

This recipe calls for frozen bananas, which is usually no problem for me. I usually keep frozen bananas on hand for a good reason.

Wondering Why?

I freeze them before they spoil and go to waste. To freeze bananas just peel and slice the bananas, add them to a container or plastic bag, pop the in the freezer until ready for use.

Coffee-Smoothie Recipe

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 3 to 4 tablespoons instant coffee powder
  • 1 cup vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 1 cup milk (nonfat okay)
  • 1 cup frozen bananas

Recipe Instructions:

  1. In a clean blender, spoon in coffee powder and yogut, pour in milf adding bananas on top. Cover blender with lid, turn on power and blend will until desired smoothie consistency is reached.

Calories - 250
Carbs - 25 grams
Fat - 9 grams
Protein - 6 grams
