The Only Way To Truly Lose Weight Is With A Healthy Diet And Exercise

I've tried many diets and was unsuccessful. I learned the only way to lose weight is with a healthy diet and exercise. I don't want to offend anyone; I'm just trying to keep it real. (This is for me first) Most of us are lazy!! We still want to eat McDonald's, Fried chicken and chocolate cake. We don't want to exercise, and we think that we can find a miracle in a pill bottle or some other diet gimmick. Truth of the matter is if we want to lose the pounds, we have to make the sacrifices.

Just by eliminating sodas from my diet for 2 weeks I lost an amazing 8 1/2 Pounds. Once I saw the results from that, I eliminated fast food from my diet and dropped an additional 20 pounds. I have to admit I am not big on exercise, but I started out by walking just 30 minutes a day every afternoon and increased my water intake and could see a difference in my weight.

It was hard (No, very hard!! ha ha) giving up the sweets, fried foods, sodas, and fast food, but once I changed my eating habits and started seeing results it made it easier for me. I didn't find a miracle in a bottle or success from the newest diet fad, I just changed a little and receive a lot of results.

This may not work for everyone, but it's working for me. I've struggled with my weight since I gave birth to my 4 beautiful children. I'm just thankful to be able to have an opportunity to help someone that struggles with the same problem as me. I don't know if this will help anyone, but this is my dieting story and how I'm on the road to getting my health, self esteem, and confidence back.

Good Luck to everyone on their journey and God Bless you All.

I agree with you totally and I am happy that your lifestyle change is working for you...but on the other hand, when you are a mother(of school age kids), a wife, EMPLOYED and involved in other things such as church..you are always taking care of other people.

For me...it's hard to find that "me time" without being overwhelmed or stressed enough, to still be in the right frame of mind to eat healthy or to go for that much needed walk.

I have done all those things that you have done, but like you said, each circumstance is different...I don't make excuses for myself, because at times...I just plain ole tell myself "stop being lazy!".(ha,ha) so i know what you are saying.

All I can do is keep the faith and just like anything else, ask God to take those desires for unhealthy foods away from me.

Keep up the good work, your story is still encouraging and I look forward to coming back up here saying "Girl I did it too" Be blessed
