How to Roast Pumpkin Seeds
by: Anonymous

Have you ever carved a Halloween pumpkin and immediately got rid of the pumpkins seeds without giving them a second thought? I know I use to do just that, until I had an opportunity to taste roasted pumpkin seeds. When roasted, pumpkins seeds have a nutty taste and they are packed with protein and fiber. Even better, the process of roasting pumpkin seeds is simple.

Step 1 - Rinse pumpkin seed under running cold water separating pulp and strings from the seeds (immediately after removing seeds from pumpkin).

Step 2 - Arrange pumpkin seeds in a single layer on a lightly greased baking sheet.

Step 3 - Sprinkle pumpkin seeds with salt and bake in a preheated oven at 300 degrees Fahrenheit until seeds are well browned, about 45 minutes or so.

Step 4 - Allow pumpkin seeds to cool and enjoy.
