Baby Back Ribs
=====================

2 tablespoons unsalted meat tenderizer
2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons seasoning salt
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoonsblack pepper

To prepare seasoning blend mix listed ingredients in small bowl. Mix thoroughly to ensure seasonings are well blended. Place seasoning blend in empty shaker. Shake well before using. Leftover seasoning should be stored in cool, dry place.

Grilled Chicken Wings
=====================

12 chicken wings
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon ground ginger
pinch chili powder

Rinse chicken wings under running cold water then pat dry with paper towels and set aside. In a nonmetallic bowl large enough to hold chicken wings in a single layer, mix together soy sauce, honey, tomato sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger and chili powder. Marinade is formed.

Sweet and Sour Chicken
=====================

3-1/2 pounds chicken (cut into 8-10 pieces)
salt and ground black pepper
1-1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup pineapple chunks
3/4 cup water
2 tablespoons
Worcestershire sauce
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Cut chicken into serving portions. Clean chicken by removing any visible fat, then rinse under cold running water. Pat chicken pieces dry with paper towels. Sprinkle lightly with a mixture of salt and pepper.

Grilled Shrimp
=====================

2 pounds tiger or jumbo shrimp
Grilled Shrimp Lemon Marinade
1/2 cup lemon juice (3 medium lemons)
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup thinly cut green onions
1/4 cup fresh parsley
3 cloves garlic finely minced
3 tablespoons soy sauce

Pour the lemon juice into a bowl add remaining grilled shrimp marinade ingredients. Mix ingredients well and then add Tiger or Jumbo shrimp. Cover bowl with lid or plastic wrap and allow ingredients to soak for 3 to 4 hours turning mixture at least twice.

Baked Beans
=====================

1 pound ground beef
2 large cans pork and beans
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
brown sugar to taste
cooking spray
salt and pepper (optional)

Cook and stir ground beef over medium-high heat until beef is browned. Drain cooked beef and set aside.

Pour pork and beans into oven safe dish that has been lightly sprayed with cooking oil. Gentle mix in cooked ground beef. Next add brown sugar to taste, mixing thoroughly.

Macaroni and Cheese
=====================

1 Box Elbow Macaroni, About 16 Ounces
1-1/2 Pound Shredded Cedar Cheese
1 Cup Whole Milk
1 Stick Butter, Unsalted and Softened
A Pinch Of Salt
Pepper To Taste

Place cooked and drained macaroni in your casserole dish. Add softened butter, milk, pinch of salt, pepper to taste and one pound of shredded cheddar cheese. Gently mix to blend the ingredients.

Layer the top of your macaroni with the remaining cheese, about 1/2 pound.

Potato Salad
=====================

3 Pounds Boiled Potatoes
4 Hard Boiled Eggs, Chopped
4 Tablespoons Of Mayonnaise Or Miracle Whip, Then Add To Taste
2 Tablespoons Of Sweet Pickle Relish, Then Add To Taste
1 Teaspoon Of Yellow Mustard, Then Add To Taste
1/4 Teaspoon Salt, Then Add To Taste
1/4 Teaspoon Pepper, Add To Taste To Taste
Paprika, Sprinkled Over Top Of Salad
Parsley, Sprinkled Over Top Of Salad

Rinse potatoes thoroughly under running water. Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with at least two inches of cold water. Bring water to rolling boil and cook potatoes until tender. Don't allow the water to boil out. Once potatoes are done remove from heat, pour out water and allow to cool. Go ahead and clean your large pot because you will use it later to mix up your potato salad.

Brunswick Stew
=====================

3 to 3-1/2 pounds stewing chicken (cut into 8-10 pieces)
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons bacon fat
1 medium yellow onion, diced
2 green onions, diced
3 cups small potatoes, diced
3 large tomatoes, peeled and diced
1-1/2 cups Lima or butter beans, fresh or frozen
1 cup corn kernels, fresh or frozen
1/2 cup okra, diced
1/2 cup sherry
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons butter

This stew recipe calls for chicken but you could easily substitute beef or pork if you desire to do so.

Cut chicken into serving portions and clean chicken by removing fat then rinsing under cold running water. Pat chicken pieces dry with paper towels. Place prepared and cleaned chicken in large boiling pot.

Cole slaw
=====================

4 cups shredded cabbage, shredded
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup dairy sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
1 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 – teaspoon chervil leaves
paprika

Place shredded cabbage and chopped onion into a mixing bowl and lightly toss. Form the herbed sauce by mixing together the remaining ingredients in another bowl. Pour the herbed sauce over the cabbage and onion and toss well.

Corn on the Cob
=====================

6 corn cob in husks
1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
1 tablespoon fresh chopped chives
salt and freshly grounded black pepper to taste

For each corncob, fold back husk from cob and remove silk from corn. Once silk is removed rewrap husks over corn and soak corn cobs in cold water for at least 1 hour. Before grilling drain water from cobs.

While you corncobs are soaking go ahead and prepare your herbed butter pats. In a mixing bowl, beat butter, lemon juice, parsley, chives, salt and pepper until softened and well blended.

Peach Cobbler
=====================

3 tbsp butter
1/2 cup self rising flour
1/2 cup pure fine granulated sugar
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup canned sliced peaches

Preheat oven to 350. While you're preheating your oven go ahead and melt 3 tablespoons of butter into a baking pan.

Combine flour and sugar into a mixing bowl and stir briefly. Next add whole milk and vanilla extract and mix thoroughly. By now your oven should be preheated and your butter melted.

Lemon Meringue Pie
=====================

1 9-inch frozen pie shell
1-1/4 cups granulated sugar
6 tablespoons cornstarch
1/8 teaspoon salt
grated rind of 1 lemon
2 cups boiling water
4 tablespoons butter
3 egg yolks
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice

Bake pie shell according to package directions until pie crust is lightly brown. Remove baked pie shell from oven and cool on a rack. Raise oven temperature to 400°F.

First let's prepare the lemon filling. Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, grated lemon rind and water in heavy bottom saucepan.

Banana Pudding
=====================

2 – large boxes of cook and serve vanilla pudding
6 – cups whole milk
1 – box of vanilla wafers
6-8 – fresh bananas

Mix pudding and milk together. Second, mixture to boil over medium-high, stirring constantly until pudding thickens. Remove pudding from heat and allow to cool briefly.

While your pudding is cooling go ahead and cut your bananas into quarter-inch slices. Once the bananas are sliced it's time to layer the pudding. Using a serving bowl of your choice, start with a layer of wafers on the bottom.

Fresh Fruit Salad
=====================

1 orange
1 nectarine
1 kiwi fruit
1 peach
1 banana
1 mango
1 apple
4 ounces of strawberries
3 tablespoon lemon juice
3 tablespoon pineapple juice
3 tablespoon orange juice

Pick up your fresh fruit from the local market. If something is not available simple leave it out or pick an appealing substitute.

Start by rinsing your fruit under running cold water. Dry the fruit before cutting.

Cut the peach and nectarine in half and remove the pits. Now cut the halves into quarters and then bite size slices.

Homemade Lemonade
=====================

4 Lemons
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Quarts Water
Honey To Taste
Ice

It doesn't get any simpler than this. Rinse lemons thoroughly. Next you want to prepare the lemons for squeezing. Roll whole lemons with the palm of your hands on the kitchen counter top to break up the pulp and produce more juice.

Next cut lemons in half and squeezed out the juice.

Sweet Tea
=====================

6 – cups water
3 – tea bags, regular sized (such as lipton)
sugar to taste
4 – trays, ice

Pour 6 cups of fresh cold water into your pot and add tea bags. Bring water to a boil. Remove pot from heat and let the tea bags steep in the water for 10-15 minutes.

Pour tea into an empty pitcher. Add sugar to taste and stir until sugar is dissolved.

Sun Tea
=====================

3 to 4 – Large Tea Bags, Lipton or Luzianne
1 – 1 Gallon Glass Jar With Lid
Sugar or Honey To Taste
Water

Fill the one gallon jar with fresh cold water. Add your tea bags and close the lid tightly. Place the jar outside in direct sunlight. It's best to place your jar in a protected area.

Now let the warmth of the sun's rays slowly brew your tea. Next steep the tea in water for 3-4 hours. Depending on how strong you want the tea to be you can leave the tea in direct sunlight all day.

Pink Lemonade Recipe
=====================

6 – lemons
2 – teaspoons grenadine syrup
1/2 to 3/4 – cup sugar
4 – cups water
1 – cup crushed ice

Rinse lemons thoroughly. Prepare lemons for squeezing by rolling them between the palm of your hand and the kitchen counter top to break up the pulp and produce more juice. Next cut lemons in half and squeezed out the juice.
