Baby Back Ribs
=====================

2 tablespoons unsalted meat tenderizer
2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons seasoning salt
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoonsblack pepper

To prepare seasoning blend mix listed ingredients in small bowl. Mix thoroughly to ensure seasonings are well blended. Place seasoning blend in empty shaker. Shake well before using. Leftover seasoning should be stored in cool, dry place.

Sweet and Sour Chicken
=====================

3-1/2 pounds chicken (cut into 8-10 pieces)
salt and ground black pepper
1-1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup pineapple chunks
3/4 cup water
2 tablespoons
Worcestershire sauce
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Cut chicken into serving portions. Clean chicken by removing any visible fat, then rinse under cold running water. Pat chicken pieces dry with paper towels. Sprinkle lightly with a mixture of salt and pepper.

Grilled Chicken Wings
=====================

12 chicken wings
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon ground ginger
pinch chili powder

Rinse chicken wings under running cold water then pat dry with paper towels and set aside. In a nonmetallic bowl large enough to hold chicken wings in a single layer, mix together soy sauce, honey, tomato sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger and chili powder. Marinade is formed.

Baked Beans
=====================

1 pound ground beef
2 large cans pork and beans
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
brown sugar to taste
cooking spray
salt and pepper (optional)

Cook and stir ground beef over medium-high heat until beef is browned. Drain cooked beef and set aside.

Pour pork and beans into oven safe dish that has been lightly sprayed with cooking oil. Gentle mix in cooked ground beef. Next add brown sugar to taste, mixing thoroughly.

Brunswick Stew
=====================

3 to 3-1/2 pounds stewing chicken (cut into 8-10 pieces)
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons bacon fat
1 medium yellow onion, diced
2 green onions, diced
3 cups small potatoes, diced
3 large tomatoes, peeled and diced
1-1/2 cups Lima or butter beans, fresh or frozen
1 cup corn kernels, fresh or frozen
1/2 cup okra, diced
1/2 cup sherry
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons butter

This stew recipe calls for chicken but you could easily substitute beef or pork if you desire to do so.

Cut chicken into serving portions and clean chicken by removing fat then rinsing under cold running water. Pat chicken pieces dry with paper towels. Place prepared and cleaned chicken in large boiling pot.

Corn on the Cob
=====================

6 corn cob in husks
1/2 cup melted butter
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
1 tablespoon fresh chopped chives
salt and freshly grounded black pepper to taste

For each corncob, fold back husk from cob and remove silk from corn. Once silk is removed rewrap husks over corn and soak corn cobs in cold water for at least 1 hour. Before grilling drain water from cobs.

While you corncobs are soaking go ahead and prepare your herbed butter pats. In a mixing bowl, beat butter, lemon juice, parsley, chives, salt and pepper until softened and well blended.

Banana Pudding
=====================

2 large boxes of cook and serve vanilla pudding
6 cups whole milk
1 box of vanilla wafers
6-8 fresh bananas

Mix pudding and milk together. Second, mixture to boil over medium-high, stirring constantly until pudding thickens. Remove pudding from heat and allow to cool briefly.

While your pudding is cooling go ahead and cut your bananas into quarter-inch slices. Once the bananas are sliced it's time to layer the pudding. Using a serving bowl of your choice, start with a layer of wafers on the bottom.

Peach Cobbler
=====================

3 tbsp butter
1/2 cup self rising flour
1/2 cup pure fine granulated sugar
1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup canned sliced peaches

Preheat oven to 350. While you're preheating your oven go ahead and melt 3 tablespoons of butter into a baking pan.

Combine flour and sugar into a mixing bowl and stir briefly. Next add whole milk and vanilla extract and mix thoroughly. By now your oven should be preheated and your butter melted.

Homemade Lemonade
=====================

4 Lemons
1/2 Cup Sugar
2 Quarts Water
Honey To Taste
Ice

It doesn't get any simpler than this. Rinse lemons thoroughly. Next you want to prepare the lemons for squeezing. Roll whole lemons with the palm of your hands on the kitchen counter top to break up the pulp and produce more juice.

Next cut lemons in half and squeezed out the juice.

Sun Tea
=====================

3 to 4 Large Tea Bags, Lipton or Luzianne
1 1 Gallon Glass Jar With Lid
Sugar or Honey To Taste
Water

Fill the one gallon jar with fresh cold water. Add your tea bags and close the lid tightly. Place the jar outside in direct sunlight. It's best to place your jar in a protected area.

Now let the warmth of the sun's rays slowly brew your tea. Next steep the tea in water for 3-4 hours. Depending on how strong you want the tea to be you can leave the tea in direct sunlight all day.

Sweet Tea
=====================

6 cups water
3 tea bags, regular sized (such as lipton)
sugar to taste
4 trays, ice

Pour 6 cups of fresh cold water into your pot and add tea bags. Bring water to a boil. Remove pot from heat and let the tea bags steep in the water for 10-15 minutes.

Pour tea into an empty pitcher. Add sugar to taste and stir until sugar is dissolved.
