Barbecue Chicken Recipe

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken (about 3 pounds), cut into serving pieces
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Recipe Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Place chicken in single layer, skin side up, in shallow baking pan. In a mixing bowl combine remaining ingredients and pour over chicken.
  3. Bake, uncovered, for about 1 hour, or until cooked through.

How to Test Chicken for Doneness
  • Cook white meat until juices run clear and the meat reaches an internal temperature of 170-175 Fahrenheit.
  • Cook dark meat to an internal temperature of 180-185 degree Fahrenheit
