You can store in refrigerator or leave out covered with foil. This depends on what part of the country/your climate. If you live in a cooler less humid climate it can be left out. My mom did it all the time. Put a little foil over it and it was fine. Just like a pie or a cake. It would go bad after a week. It never lasted that long tho However if you live in hotter humid climates then frig it.
