Goulash Recipe

This is my family version of this recipe

1 lb elbow macaroni
2 lb ground round (ground turkey may be used)
1 lg onion diced
1/2 small green pepper diced
2-3 tbs minced garlic (more or less to taste)
salt and pepper to taste
2 lg cans of diced or stewed tomatoes in tomato juice

1. Brown ground meat with the onion, pepper and garlic.
2. Add canned tomatoes w/ juice (If you add extra tomato juice it makes it more juicy and improve the flavor )
3. Let simmer for about 1-2 hrs
4. Cook Macaroni

Here is the part that makes a big difference.

For 1 serving. Fill up a bowl 1/2 way with the Macaroni, then put a layer of mozzarella shredded cheese Then fill the rest of the way up with the meat and sauce mixture . Let it sit for a minute for the cheese to melt. ENJOY!!
