Homemade Red Chili Recipe
This red chili recipe is perfect if you want to learn how to make chili. Nothing taste better than a warm bowl of hot chili served with your favorite toppings such as cheese, crackers, peppers, onions, etc.
Red Chili Recipe
Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 small green pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 can (16 ounce) tomato sauce
- 1 can (16 ounce) red kidney or pinto beans, drained
Recipe Instructions:
- In a deep skillet over medium heat, cook and stir ground beef until browned. Once browned, drain fat from skillet.
- Add onion, green peppers, chili powder, salt, black pepper, red pepper, and garlic powder to meat in skillet and stir.
- Next stir in tomato sauce and beans. Bring chili to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook and stir frequently for 20 minutes.
