Austrian roasted pigs feet
by: Jim H

I grew up eating them and still love 'em. I put 6 or 8 halved and cleaned feet in a pot or deep baking dish in layers. Each layer is placed skin side down and sprinkled liberally with paprika, lightly with caraway seed and garlic powder (or minced garlic), and sliced onions.

Repeat layer by layer. Put a small amount of water in the bottom of the baking pot to keep the contents from sticking to the bottom.

Cover and bake in a slow oven (325 deg) until falling apart.

I always bake potatoes on the oven rack at the same time. Serve with a potato and set a finger bowl with water and napkins out for each diner (this is finger food).

Have fun...Jim

Roasted Pigs Feet

Thanks for asking the question about how to roast pigs feet. Can't say that I have ever roasted pigs feet, but the thought does sound really tasty.

I figure the process would be somewhat similar to roasting a whole pig, without all the hassle. Try starting up your charcoal grill, and then slow cook the pigs feet until the skin turns golden brown to your liking.

For a little extra flavor soak your pigs feet in hickory smoke before grilling.

Stop back by and let me know how this turns out.
