How to Make Waffles Like A Pro?
So you want to learn how to make waffles?
Freshly cooked waffles are another one of my favorite breakfast foods which I prepare often for my son. He loves to start his day off with waffles or
pancakes, really anyone of these would do.
Before we get started here's a little waffle trivia. Did you know waffles were originated by Dutch settlers back in 17th century?
No worries if you've never prepared homemade waffles before, the process is simple enough. Here is the much awaited, very simple recipe on how to
make waffles.
What You'll Need for this Waffles Recipe
Kitchen Items:
Waffle Iron
Mixing Bowl
Wire Whisk
Ladle
Recipe Ingredients:
Butter or Cooking Spray
2 cups waffle mix (Makes 8 waffles)
1-1/2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/3 cup of oil
Here's a Simple Recipe on How to Make Waffles
1. Lightly grease your waffle iron with butter or cooking spray. Continue to heat the waffle iron until it reaches the recommended temperature.
2. In a mixing bowl, add the waffle mix along with milk, eggs and oil. Using a wire whisk, stir the waffle batter until all lumps disappear. For the
best results, allow the batter to rest for 4-5 minutes.
3. Using a ladle, pour a sufficient amount of batter onto the waffle iron, close the lid and continue to bake until the steaming stops.
Remove waffles from the iron, placing them on a plate. Add the desired amount of butter, then top with maple syrup. If you prefer to have Belgium
Waffles, top with strawberries and whipped cream.
Important note before purchasing a waffle iron. There are a variety of waffle irons on the market in various shapes such as round, square, and heart shaped. Some waffle irons are affordable
while others are expensive, therefore be sure to research carefully and choose one that will last you a long time.
As you can see, making waffles is not only easy to do, but fun as well. Your kids will surely start asking you to prepare waffles for breakfast.
