How to Make Shrimp Cocktail Sauce

Thanks for asking the question of How to make cocktail sauce for shrimp.

Try the recipe below (makes 1 cup of cocktail sauce) and tell me what you think.

1/2 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 teaspoon horseradish
3-4 drops Tabasco sauce

Mix well chili sauce, ketchup, horseradish and Tabasco sauce in a medium bowl with a wire whisk. Transfer finished shrimp cocktail sauce to your serving dish, refrigerate until cold and enjoy.

Of course this is the homemade approach, in the case of cocktail sauce I never go through the trouble of making it because it's readily available all season at the grocery mart.

Boil the frozen shrimp in seafood boil until they are done. Chill over ice before serving along side your cocktail sauce.
