How to Cook Cows Tongue

I was wandering for a couple different ways of cooking cows tongue. I only ask because I have heard that it tastes like pot roast. What are some good ways to make it up?

My mother used to cook it in a pressure cooker for hours until tender with cloves and covered in water.

How to Cook Cow Tongue - Two Options

Cook it just like a beef roast. By that I mean you can either cook it just by seasoning it with salt, red pepper, and black pepper and brown it.....and slowly add water once it's browned to make a thick gravy.

2nd option. You can slice into the cows tongue along the side, toward the middle of the tongue and stuff it with green onion mixed with white or yellow onion.....about a tablespoon of mustard, mix together and just continue cooking as mentioned above.

Serve with white rice, sweet pea salad.
