Creating My Own Pasta Dinner

I have a combination of questions.

First off, on the pasta box it says to drain then add my sauce. Do I pour the drained pasta into a big bowl and then add the sauce or do I put it back in the pan on the stove?

Secondly I am making my own sauce. I have a jar of Alfredo sauce but then I'm adding a microwavable bowl of broccoli and cheese. How do i mix the two? Also, how long and what temperature should I cook it at?
