Quick, Easy, and Healthy Coconut Smoothie Recipe

Put a coconut to good use with this coconut smoothie recipe.  I don't buy coconuts much but when I do I always try to save enough milk to make this cool, refreshing, and delicious coconut smoothie drink. 

Did you know coconuts have many health benefits?  To be honest at first I did not.  I found out about the health benefits of coconuts only after becoming an adult.  I guess I missed the lesson about the benefits of coconuts when I was attending school.

This is one of those recipes that kid love.  I have served this drink to my son and his friends a few time during the summer when it was too hot to play outside.  I decided to cheer them up since they were sitting around in my living room look sad.

If you really like coconuts, I assume you'll become a big fan of this smoothie recipe for sure, for many, many years to come.   Although this recipe includes a few scoops of vanilla ice cream, it still is low in calories.  That said don't be afraid  to try this delicious and sweet smoothie.

Coconut Banana Smoothie

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas, peeled and chopped
  • 3-4 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup milk

Recipe Instructions:

  1. To a clean blender, add bananas, vanilla ice cream, and milks. Cover blender with lid and blend well until mixture is smooth. Since this smoothie recipe contain ice cream you'll want to drink this immediately.

Calories - 250
Carbs - 30 grams
Fat - 4 grams
Protein - 5 grams
