What to Serve for Christmas Dinner

Getting into the kitchen and cooking Christmas dinner can become a big hassle if you fail to properly plan your Christmas menu. In your case, this years holiday will turn out to be an enjoyable event because your were smart enough to come online and look for some Christmas recipes.

Since you're wondering what to serve for X-mas Dinner I'll get right to the point, you need to stick with a traditional holiday menu, that way you can please the majority of your dinner guest. Nothing will ruin your day quick than an angry family member complaining about what you failed to cook.

My advice to you is to go with the all time favorite recipes such as roasted turkey, baked ham, prime rib, Cornish hen, cornbread dressing, giblet gravy, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, mashed potatoes, collard greens, candied yams, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, glazed carrots, sweet potato pie, red velvet cake, pumpkin pie, lemon pie and pecan pie.

I know that seems like a big list, but you don't have to cook everything. Just focus on those food items that your family, friends and dinner guest are most inclined to eat.

My recommendation is to choose at least two meats, corn bread dressing, cranberry sauce, either turkey or giblet gravy depending on whether your roast the turkey, two or three sides like candied yams, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, etc plus at least two desserts.

Now all you have to do is decide what you want on your menu and choose from the recipes below:
