Quick and Easy Apple Crisp RecipeThis apple crisp recipe is living proof that great tasting desserts don't necessarily have to be difficult to create. With just minimal prep work, this simple apple crisp dessert recipe cooks up in just under 40 minutes. Apple Crisp Dessert Recipe5-6 medium baking apples, peeled, cored and sliced I like to use a combination of tart and sweet apples in my apple crisp dessert. You may also want to consider this mix as well. If you like this ideal, try 3 tart tasting Granny Smith apples and 3 Golden Delicious apples. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Arrange prepared apples into greased 8 inch square pan or suitable baking dish. In a medium mixing bowl, combine softened butter, vanilla extract and all dry ingredients consisting or brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix and stir well then spread mixture evenly over sliced apples. Bake on center oven rake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 to 35 minutes until apples and tender and top of apple crisp is golden brown.
